How To Change Gears On A 2015 Axys

I would get out clutching for now. try the new gearing and new rails with clutching you accept first. change one matter at a fourth dimension and effort.

I would go to 1.79 with a 72 pitch chain if it were me? with that track.

So switching out the two tracks. 1.6" lug, your gaining 5lbs of rotating mass and about a one/four" more lug .

My approximate is yous wanna only peak mph at 100+ with this??

This 1.6" lug will probably lose y'all about three to 5 mph on summit end vs the 1.375". So, to proceeds some more than tiptop end back, yous have to gear lower then suggested 1.74 ratio.

A ane.eighty ratio has very little domestic dog leg and at a 1:1 ratio will get you 100 mph @ 8250 rpm. Add 5% overdrive and that'due south 105 mph @ 8250 rpm full shiftout . Full shift out can be varied from 1:1 to 18%. I calculated a easily achievable 5%.

The 22/38 with 68 pitch concatenation(1.73 ratio)
Has less canis familiaris leg then the 1.74 ratio.

Just sayin

also, this chain tensioner is less restrictive.

That'south similar the tensioner they always used, non a fan of this new slider 1 I recollect I'grand swapping mine out

If you get this chain tensioner. Lube information technology very well with chaincase oil before installing. If you don't,it will have a bit for oil to get up there and it will make a bad whining sound.

Brock I am guessing y'all show the nut bolt and bearing above only because that is how you copied it, not because you need those also to apply the IQR tensioner?

Correct

Does anyone take a picture show of the 22-38 gearing and the 23-forty gearing in the chaincase? I'd like to run into the lesser dogleg of the 22-38. I am near to order a gear and concatenation for one of these setups. I have a 40 gear and a 22 gear. No 23 or 38 and neither chain. Leaning towards the 22-38 considering of the lesser dogleg and the slightly lesser weight of smaller gears and shorter concatenation can't hurt, just theory is bigger gears are more efficient. Thoughts anyone?
